ME News - The St-Anne’s Museum in Lübeck is celebrating a double anniversary. The museum is from 1915 and blows out 100 candles and the monastery has existed just over 500 years. Currently, in addition to the enormous permanent collection, there is also a temporary exhibition until the 10 January 2016 that is certainly worth it. 26 altarpiecesThe exhibition gives an impression of Lübeck around 1500. Around that time, Lübeck was very prosperous and an important export port, so also important for artists to sell their art and to settle down. In this exhibition you can find no fewer than 26 altarpieces together. This has never been shown anywhere. Dutch and Belgian artMuch Dutch and Belgian art was also traded in Lübeck and many works from both countries are currently on view in the museum. In the meantime, have you felt like going to Lübeck and the St-Anne’s Museum?
