Sweden is the largest of the Nordic countries by size and population. Above all, Sweden can give you a sense of space.
Today there are 29 national parks to choose from! Not only that, but there are 2,500 nature reserves in Sweden. There are 96.000 lakes, large and small. Sweden has also 270,000 islands; more than any other country.
Weather in Sweden is typically cold from October to April, but in the summer (late May to early September) temperature lies around 20 °C.
The biggest attraction of Sweden is probably a city trip to the beautiful city of Stockholm, this is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The city is spread out over several islands. The inner city is made up of 14 islands across Lake Mälaren and three streams into the Baltic Sea, with the Stockholm archipelago with some 24,000 islands, islets and skerries. Over 30% of the city area is made up of waterways, and another 30% is made up of green areas.
In the south there are also some important cities such as Gothenburg and Malmö. There's the canals and cobblestoned streets of Gothenburg, with its famous botanical garden, or the modern architecture of Malmö.
